Great project! Glad to see there is a bit of musical life after all. "Buddy's Stomp" is some of the finest banjo we've heard. Great songs and concept all round. Keep up the good work. I hope to meet you one of these days.

Just received the CD, listening to it. WOW !!, love it, takes me back to the time when I first discovered the Byrds and the Burritos, the same thrill you get, when you hear a band, that you just know are gonna make you wanna listen and listen to them, again and again.

I've been listening to the cd over and over these past few days - in rotation with Thom Landt's CD of the same name 'Bordertown'. I like the sound on your CD - the banjo playing sticks out on some tunes. The playing is excellent on all of the tunes. I like the vocals as well - although as I said before some sound just a bit off - or maybe jarring is a better word. I do think it has a bit to do with the words not being in the singer's native language. I may just be reading into this knowing it to be the case . I don't mean it as a criticism even though I'm sure it comes over that way. I especially like the tunes "Working On A Bateau", "I Wish It Would Rain", "Bordertown" and "Buddy's Stomp" (I get a kick out of the dog barking for some reason- although I do love the song itself) I'm not a big bluegrass fan but I do like it as an influence in music. I hear strains of the Bryds, Chris Hillman, Herb Pedersen, Gram Parsons, Flying burrito Brothers, Poco and others in this disc. I mean this as a compliment - your band has captured the essence of those artists without copying them. I'll be looking for the announcement of the possible North Carolina shows next year. You just never know- I've been known to travel long distances for shows by certain artists. Take care, Dennis

Thanks for sending me Bordertown, which arrived here right to my birthday. What a wonderful present. It's a CD which should not be missed in any Byrds-related collection. Congratulation to you, Ron and your friends for this excellent album. Horst-Peter

Just received the CD, it's amazing, you just cant help but love it. Definate Byrds and such influences here. Our mutual friend Horst-Peter spoke well of it, so I decided to check it out, Wheels is truly an amazing piece of work, but I was hooked by the Wampus cat song, born and raised down here, I grew up with my dad telling me tales of the Legendary Wampus Cat, anyway you will just feel good when you get this disk. cxcx
